Dear UNIX-VAS colleagues,
The password database of one of my VAS client machines is out of date. If I add a new user in A.D. thisnew account do not appear to this client machine (ypmatch <userid> passwd). If a user changeshis password, the new password is not recognized by client machine anymore causing future logons to be denied. Ican not run any command as root, that put in risk our currently 125 user logged. One work around I did was to replicate alocal account inserting it at /etc/passwd, in order to allow a user login again.
I am afraid "vastool flush" can lose our out-of-date cache, but still working. Is there a more detailed VAS log?
What does means the code 146 bellow?
Error found in system log (/var/adm/messages):
Nov 10 01:59:33 brinx005 vasd[666]: [ID 639308 daemon.error] password_policy_interval: vascd_update_password_policy failed with 146.
Thanky you in advance.
Best Regards,
Argemiro
